Special Issue: «Kant and Natural History»

The online academic journal Estudos Kantianos (Kantian Studies), hosted by São Paulo State University’s Philosophy Department, welcomes contributions for a special issue on «Kant and Natural History», scheduled for January 2018. The thematic scope provides an occasion to explore Kant’s own philosophical ideas and questions concerning the study of organisms and life, as well as the relations between his thoughts and those of other philosophers or scientists who developed researches on the domains of physiology, embryology, anatomy etc. (i. e., the set of disciplines comprehended under the general name of Natural History).

Deadline for submissions: 31 October 2017.

Material for submission should be sent in Word-format by e-mail (having «Estudos Kantianos» as its subject) to one of the following addresses: belfragelli@gmail.com or cpek@marilia.unesp.br.

Estudos Kantianos publishes articles, translations and reviews in Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, German, English and French. It is required that the papers do not exceed 30 pages and are typed in Times New Roman, size 12, line spacing 1,5. They should also contain a version of the title, abstract, keywords and a short (max. 10 lines) biography of the author either in Portuguese or in English.
